M

Mass spectrometry

Mass spectrometry is a process of producing charged particles (ions) from the chemical substances that are to be analyzed.

Mass spectrometer is the instrument used in this process which uses an electric and magnetic fields to measure the mass ("weight") of the charged particles.

T

transmittance

it is defined as the ratio of radiant power transmitted by a sample to the radiant power incident on the sample
